Use Smacircle and a Discount Code to Save While Attending Conferences

Obviously nobody attended a lot of conferences in 2020, and we’re probably not going to have a ton in 2021 either. But with the vaccine rolling out things will eventually start to get back to normal and we will be at conferences again. If you’ve attended a lot of them, you may have had to deal with the issues of getting around, as well as staying on budget before. I have two suggestions for you today: use Smacircle and a discount code wherever possible to help tackle these issues.

Use a Discount Code Wherever Possible

When you are travelling you actually have a great opportunity to use a discount code on many services and save quite a lot of money. You can save on flights, hotels, car rentals, shuttle services, food at local restaurants, train tickets, etc. It definitely extends to things you may need to purchase prior to the conference as well such as a new laptop, new luggage, new suits or shoes, and anything else you might need to bring with you. Just because you can write it off as a business expense doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look for the best deal possible. Especially when you are shopping online, there is almost always a spot on the checkout form for a discount code or coupon code. Do a quick Google search for the company name plus ‘discount code’ and I can almost guarantee that you will find a deal.

What is Smacircle?

Smacircle is a really exciting new company that makes the Smacircle S1, a folding electrical bike. It’s made out of carbon fibre so it’s incredibly durable while weighing in at only 19 pounds without the battery on it. It’s designed to carry you where you need to go, and then be able to fold up and fit in a locker, under a desk, or you can carry it in a backpack. You can also purchase a carrying strap or carrying bag specifically designed for it on the Smacircle website.

The company started out on Indiegogo in 2017 and very quickly met their funding goal. Their name is a combination of the worlds small, smart, and circle. With such an obvious demand for this type of short-distance transportation they partnered with distributors in the U.S., Japan, Australia, Norway, and other countries to bring the Smacircle to commuters.

The Smacircle S1 won several awards at CES 2020 for innovation due to its intuitive folding design which sets it apart from other electric bikes and scooters. The electric battery has quite a long life and takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge. The range of the battery is about 13 miles, or 20 km. It’s not meant for long distance travel, but to carry you short distances efficiently. Their motto is that the Smacircle can take you the first mile, and the last mile of your commute.

How can Smacircle help you save at conferences?

You can avoid renting a car entirely by using a combination of public transportation and Smacircle to get around. You can stay near the conference and use just your Smacircle or public transit and your Smacircle to get to and from the conference every day. Please note: I am not suggesting you ride your Smacircle around inside of the conference venue. Yes, that would be a convenient way to get around the conference floor but it’s likely not very safe with that many people around and the conference organizers probably wouldn’t appreciate it. It is not intended for indoor use, it is to help you commute short distances outdoors.

Let’s say you are at the conference and you want to go to a nearby restaurant for lunch. No need to get a cab or spend money on the bus, just hop on your Smacircle. Since it’s battery powered and you don’t need to peddle, you can avoid getting sweaty as well. If the weather outside is super rainy or freezing then this probably isn’t going to be your best option, but if you are somewhere with pleasant weather then it’s an eco-friendly and efficient way to travel to locations nearby. This could potentially save you tons on Uber and Cab rides, and completely negate the need to rent a car which is very costly.
